Participation in the INDICATE project in Sevilla

AUS Arquitectes attended the final event of the #INDICATE project in Seville, in which we have participated over the past year as part of working group GT 2 “Carbon footprint of materials”. This research project aims to accelerate decarbonization in the construction sector by generating crucial data for policy formulation and strategic decision-making.

INDICATE brings together industry, academia, and administration to ensure everyone acts on the data and results, driving significant change in policies and industry. Among its objectives are contributing to the national data infrastructure on the impact of the built environment, providing analyses to facilitate the implementation of decarbonization measures, and promoting lifecycle carbon emission reference values. It also supports the implementation of the new EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

During the event in Seville, the final study results were presented, and an interactive session was held to advance the next steps toward a more sustainable future for the construction sector in Spain.

The project has been implemented in 3 pilot countries simultaneously, including Spain, where it has been led by the Green Building Council España (GBCe) and researchers from the Institute of Architecture and Construction Sciences at the University of Seville.

We are excited to be part of this initiative and look forward to seeing the positive impacts in our country! You can find more information at the following link:
